August Weight Loss Challenge: ’Day 17 - Enthusiasm is Strength of adults’
It is Day 17 of the August Weight Loss Challenge and welcome to those joining for the first time. It has been more than two weeks that you started your journey and, perhaps, you are experiencing some of the consequences of it, but it is high time to resolve and focus on your objective.
1. Concentrate on the Punctuality More Than on the Style
By this time, you probably have had your share of hitches in the process. Perhaps you have struggled to be active a few times or there were some days you know you could do more. What has to be understood is that perfection is not a prerequisite and that regularity trumps everything. The important thing is that you keep moving from one level to the next even if this seems sluggish most of the times. All the actions that are taken towards a particular goal are a win.
2. Revisit Your Nutrition Plan
If you are less strict about your diet today is the high time you assessed yourself to ensure that you are still on the right track on the right diet for the right weight. Do you make enough of a point to consume vegetables and lean meats? Are you still sticking to the calories? If you are tired and are not getting the kind of performance you wanted, try to fine tune it. Still, more often, the shifts, such as cutting down on sugar or increasing fiber consumption, may produce a significant impact.
3. Incorporate Active Recovery
This means that, as the body settles to a new kind of work intensity, attached workout days are an effective way of ensuring correct active recovery. It might be a simple yoga exercise practice, a casual walk or a few simple stretching movements. It is vital since it ensures that a person does not get an injury and at the same time, it stretches the muscles of the body to prepare for additional workouts. It also allows the mind to rest and refresh and this is also a factor which helps to sustain motivation in the long term.
4. Maintenance Social Connection to Your ‘Why’
Sometimes it is due to the doctor’s advice, or feeling self-conscious about one’s appearance, or to fit into a particular dress, or you name it, people embark on a weight loss challenge with a specific reason or goal in mind. Whatever your motivation for exercise is – to impress the opposite gender, to lose weight, to get a promotion, or simply to feel better – remembering why you started can help a long way on the days when it seems like a chore. Today I have to say take a moment and think why you decided to change your life and become a better person. Tell someone that you and your partner are matchup. This way you will keep your motivation on the foreground while the negative messages will be in the background.
5. Celebrate Your Progress
You begin the seventh day of the challenge, and that means that you are more than halfway done, and that deserves a cheer. Make it a point to appreciate your achievements of the day how little it may seem. Whether getting into a pair of jeans that you once had to struggle to wear, seeing an improvement in your energy levels, or staying on track as seen in the 17 STEP plan, the milestones should by celebrated.
Conclusion
As you are getting through the mid-part of August Weight Loss Challenge, each day is a step closer to your desired weight. Generally, the following are always important to remember: Concentrate, encourage yourself, and remember to be gentle on yourself. It is never a rosy ride in this journey, but you can get what you want if come at it with the right approach. Keep going strong!
